Frame the problem clearly

I start by clearly defining the real user decision we’re trying to support, the business outcome we need to move, and the constraints we must respect—so we solve the right problem, not just the visible one.

Build a mental model before screens

Before jumping into UI, I focus on how users think about the problem, what the primary signal should be, and what can be progressively disclosed—so we reduce cognitive load and avoid over-design.

Design systems, not one-off solutions

I prioritise scalable patterns, clear hierarchies and states, and edge cases with explainability—because especially in fintech, systems scale better than features.

Validate fast, iterate with intent

I work in tight feedback loops with early validation from users or stakeholders, clear success metrics, and iteration driven by insight—not preference—because speed matters, but never at the cost of clarity or trust.
